Knowledge Services
Embracing sustainability and embedding it into core business is a task that many Tata companies are already engaged in. TSG assists this process by developing, sourcing and making available guidance documents, tools and frameworks on all the areas that it works on - environmental, social and governance, building and maintaining repositories of global good practices from within the Tata group and outside, tracking the latest sustainability trends and emerging regulations across the globe.
A key aspect of our knowledge services is designing and facilitating capability building workshops on critical as well as emerging themes for sustainability champions across Tata companies. We do this by developing training modules, identifying, accessing and making available relevant material and opportunities provided by global leaders, enabling interactions with global sustainability experts through open workshops, talks and webinars. Our workshops not only enable learning and immersion into operational aspects of sustainability, but also allow the exchange of good practices among Tata companies.
Tata Sustainability Group also represents the Tata group on international sustainability platforms. Currently, through our memberships of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the Energy Transitions Commission, we are actively contributing to the shaping of the global sustainability agenda.

Advisory Services
TSG sets the group level agenda on sustainability and develops group level policies and strategies on issues that impact the group. Through the sustainability KPIs adopted by the group, TSG also assesses the sustainability performance of the group year on year and will, in the future, enable the process of adopting group level sustainability goals.
In addition to driving the group level agenda on sustainability, TSG serves as an in-house advisor and counsel to Tata group companies on all matters relating to sustainability. Through our advisory services we help Tata companies undertake stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment, leading to the development of their sustainability strategy which outlines the KPIs and goals for material sustainability issues. We work with them on detailed strategies and roadmaps for material issues such as climate change, water stewardship, strategic CSR, volunteering, supply chain sustainability etc. We also provide advice on governance and reporting, helping companies put in place sustainability governance at Board level, developing mechanisms to engage the Board on sustainability and reviewing their sustainability disclosures.
Execution Services
TSG's execution function covers two key agendas viz. implementing the group volunteering programme, Tata Engage, and responding to humanitarian emergencies and strengthening disaster risk reduction strategies through its Disaster Management team.

The Tata group undertakes a whole range of
activities while responding in the aftermath of a disaster; from emergency services, to relief operations to long-term rehabilitation projects
In addition to the above, to bring the global discourse within the group on a common platform for all Tata companies, TSG organizes the annual Tata Sustainability Conclave. As a part of our endeavor to build a group-wide culture of sustainability, we execute an awareness and behavior change campaign called Tata Sustainability Month.
